1. We believe in a personal, born again experience, as a requirement for salvation, with our Lord Jesus Christ.

2. We believe in a life of holiness, in thought, word and deed, living according to the word of God, as it is rightly divided. 

3. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, as a further work of grace which enables Christ to live out His life in the believer and to operate the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

4. We believe in the Bible to be the divinely inspired Word of God, written as men were moved upon by the Holy Gospel, profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 

5. We believe in the God-head as including: Father, Son and Holy Ghost, each separate persons, but one in purpose, authority and word. 

6. We believe in water baptism by immersion as a type and witness that we have died to the old life and been resurrected to the new. 

7. We believe in the fellowship of all born-again believers as being part of the Body of Christ. 

8. We believe in the visible second coming of Christ to catch away His church, prior to His coming again to set up His Kingdom upon earth. 

9. We believe in a literal resurrection of the dead, at which time, those who have fallen asleep in Christ and those who are alive and remain, will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air. 

10. We believe in a literal heaven where those who are translated will enjoy the blessings of eternal life and literal hell prepared for the devil and his angels, where judgment will be given upon those who reject Christ and His salvation. 

11. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His atoning death, and in His bodily resurrection.

12. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. 

13. We believe in the Holy Scriptures as to the foundation of marriage. That it is a monogamous relationship between one man and one woman, to be sanctified by the Holy Spirit. We will not perform, assist or entertain any other marriage relationship, nor allow the Church of Faith properties, buildings or grounds to be desecrated by such.

*These above articles of faith were accepted by all members present in January 1970 and the inception of the Church of Faith. Article 3 was amended to include “speaking in tongues” as the initial evidence of the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Articles 11 and 12 were added at the special meeting held on February 8, 1970.

 

*Article 13 was added at the meeting of August 21st, 2013 by a 2/3 vote of the membership.
